Roos Schneijderberg
Roos Schneijderberg (Zoetermeer, 1977) is a Dutch multidisciplinary creative. Her work includes conceptual furniture, sculptures, mixed media objects, video installations, paintings, poems and scenery creations. Her background in advertising and economic psychology paved the way for her conceptual thinking and the emotion based messages in her works. Introspection, femininity, and a refined abrasive interaction between imperfection and aestheticism are recurring themes in her oeuvre. Her style is sophisticated yet bold presented with some serious lightness.

‘Art should make us experience the reality as we know it differently, opening OUR consciousness for expansion and transformation.
We should not be satisfied with an art piece if it has not contributed to this transition into a new perspective of the ruling reality. Contributing to change, willingly or unwillingly, artists feel the conscious or unconscious need to lead mankind into a different direction with their own language of creation formed by their past and being.
Turns out my language is one of piercing sophisticated trough the ego barrier trying to resonate with the human soul and transform a level of hurt into beauty. A process of healing for which a certain degree of disruptiveness is needed to reach the inside.
What comes out are creations that are self-reflective, pure, and aesthetically disruptive with a high level of spiritual consciousness and inner depth.
A piece is only finished when for me, it has been a portal to drift into a boundless open space like a transient field between the physical world as we know it and another higher energetic world.
I want to take you there, to a yet unknown world. I hope you can surrender and float in this strange kind of intimate introspective space.’
