THE SURVIVOR ALSO KNOWN AS ‘I’M STILL STANDING’ - Large piece of concrete debris from demolished building mixed with mirrored surfaces. The mirror on the sidewalk is like an invitation for the passerby to enter the art piece and see themselves, literally and figuratively, reflected in the work. It makes people aware of their own survivor mentality. It might have crushed me. It might have broken me. But I survived anyway, and I’m proud of that. The work unites people by making them aware of the brokenness and survivability not only in themselves, but in all.

RED DUST - Why, the viewer would ask. Time. Acceptance. Inscrutability. The reason is too high to comprehend.

DUST

THE UNSPEAKABLE ALSO KNOWN AS ‘WISH IT WIL GO AWAY’ - One spectator alone enters the room and walks in seclusion, almost ceremoniously and sacredly toward the mirrored indefinable cube. The cube confrontationally reflects the spectator approaching it. The person can leave in it what remains unspoken.

THE HIGH WAY - ‘WALKING ON SUNSHINE’ - A slightly curved, almost otherworldly, mirrored path that reflects the sky above it. The, literally and figuratively, self-reflecting path symbolises the path of a higher, enlightening, more elevated, way of life. The path of purpose and prosperity. People may consciously and personally experience a ceremonial walk on it. As surreal as walking on water. Spectators may experience this introspective moment alone or share it with others.

THE PATH - Part of the art piece THE HIGH WAY. People can experience a ceremonial, surreal walk in the park. The mirrored surface reflects the sky but also the person. It serves self-reflection and makes the elevating art experience more personal, interactive, and probably highly Instagrammable.

THE FRIENDSHIP ALSO KNOWN AS ‘I SEE YOU’ - The work is in line with the view that the eyes are the mirror of a person’s soul. Spectators can look into each other’s eyes indirectly through the two mirrors. It thus becomes a shared, meaningful interactive experience. The green color creates, harmony, balance among individuals and relaxation.

THE KISS

THE CAVE ALSO KNOWN AS ‘WHAT IS REALITY?’ It refers to Plato’s philosophy.

THE MIND ALSO KNOWN AS ‘WILL IT STOP?’ - Spectators may kick the balls as hard and as long as they want to, the noise symbolises the banging of thoughts. The labyrinth is like the brain.

SEEING US - Strangers share as a group a moment of deep seeing. Not just self-reflection but us-reflection.

THE SEARCH DOWN ALSO KNOWN AS ‘DESCEND TO FIND’ - A single searchlight rotates in total darkness. It symbolises the descent into the inner cellar and the search from above to find someone willing to give its life for a good cause.

SEEING ME - A self-reflecting, confronting moment of deep seeing. Consciously seeing oneself in all openness. Who have you become and who will you decide to be? Seeing the endless possibilities in your life.

WITNESS - Spectators witness from a distance a slow-breathing light that changes in intensity as if a mystical, inexplicable event occurs.
